What about that name?

The name Spyderbat is unique, memorable, and piques interest. So how did the founders of Spyderbat come up with it?

Our company is headquartered in Austin, Texas.

It so happens, we are home to the largest urban bat colony in North America. It is a popular tourist attraction to watch the bats come out from under the Congress Ave bridge at sunset.

At peak season the colony grows to over 1.5 million bats!  This has given rise to one of Austin’s popular nicknames as “Bat City”.

One particular type of bat is the spider-bat which eats all kinds of insects. We love our bats!

It so happens that Spiderbat is also an Amalgam comics superhero character!

So, with a slight twist of the spelling given our cyber focus, we arrived at the name Spyderbat.
